Sainsbury's
Bank use our Compass360 system as part of their Leadership
Development Programme for senior management. All senior
managers participate in the 360 degree feedback process
before attending a residential leadership development course.
The bank has developed its own framework of leadership
behaviours based on the values of their company. The leadership
behaviours identified are those that will enable managers
to deliver the company values and their customer's expectations.
Delegates have the opportunity to discuss their feedback
reports individually in company before the course and can
then attend with agreed development action points to work
on. They also bring their reports to the course for further
discussion and refinement based on their experience during
the programme.
Sainsbury's Bank has also made use of the online CompassSurvey
system for a colleague opinion survey. Again the questions
for this survey were based around the bank's identified
values defining "How we do things around here....." The
values and leadership behaviours framework aims to achieve
high performing and motivated teams throughout the bank.
The purpose of the survey was to get feedback from all
staff and establish what progress has been made to achieve
that aim. The CompassSurvey tool allows for 'real-time'
results of a survey as it progresses to be available on
a webpage to the company. This meant that the bank was
able to 'keep its finger on the pulse' of their staff opinions
and ideas and make the decisions necessary to maintain
and further develop the high performing teams and quality
customer service that is the trademark of their business.
