Cardiff University first
used Compass360 with Vice Chancellor,
Professor Stephen Tomlinson, and his Executive
Board of the then University of Wales College
of Medicine, in 2002. The results were so
successful that the project has been extended
to include the wider Management Board and then
Heads of Department.
The School of Medicine used both the
Compass360 bureau service and our executive
coaching service to give individual feedback
to the Vice Chancellor and members of the
Board on a 1:1 basis. The Compass360 feedback
process also includes the use of an aggregate
group report. This feedback report, showing
the overall strengths and areas for
development, has helped the Board develop a
strategic plan for their development and
played a major role in the university
maintaining its Investors In People
status. The UWCM merged with Cardiff
University in 2004 and the 360 process helped
senior executives and management to remain
focused on the priorities and needs in such a
major initiative.
"For me the key to the success
of Compass 360 has been the personal involvement of staff
from the Company and their positive approach to 'customising'
the on-line 360 questionnaire. A truly customer-centred
service!"
Professor Stephen Tomlinson -- Vice Chancellor of UWCM
