The
UWCM first used Compass360 with the Vice Chancellor, Professor
Stephen Tomlinson, and his Executive Board in 2002. The
results were so successful that the project has been extended
to include the wider Management Board and then Heads of
Department.
UWCM use the Compass360 bureau service and also our executive
coaching service to give individual feedback to the Vice
Chancellor and members of the Board on a 1:1 basis. The
Compass360 feedback process also includes the use of an
aggregate group report. This feedback report, showing the
overall strengths and areas for development, has helped
the Board develop a strategic plan for their development
and played a major role in the UWCM maintaining its Investors
In People status. The UWCM will be merging with Cardiff
University in 2004 and the 360 process has helped senior
executives and management remain focussed on the priorities
and needs in such a major initiative.
