This provides
a structure that enables clients to stop and take stock
of where they are at present and establish what goals they
want to achieve. It helps them to start looking at how
they need to change their approach to get better results,
and to agree what it is they need to do to continue improving
performance. This framework is not a rigid timetable that
has to be followed throughout a coaching programme. It
does however provide a structure and a strong signal that
coaching is a finite process that is designed to achieve
results that will enable the client to continue at the
end without the ongoing support of the coach. Generally
six sessions are recommended at the outset with evaluation
reviews after sessions three and six and then a decision
to continue or end the coaching.
